Postdoctoral Researcher Position (posted on 8/27/09):
A postdoctoral researcher position is immediately available in the group of Prof. Sunduz Keles in the Departments of Statistics and of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics at UW Madison. The successful candidate will work on an NIH funded project to develop statistical and computational methods for high dimensional genomic data with emphasis on high throughput sequencing.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics or related disciplines and must have strong interests in statistical genomics. Strong programming skills (e.g., R, C, C++, perl, java), excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

2) cover letter describing current research interests and activity,

- Kevin Eng is one of the International Biometric Society – Eastern North American Region (ENAR) 2008 Distinguished Student Paper Award winners. He has been awarded an ENAR student travel award for his paper: “A linear mixed model for multi-species time course gene expression data” (co-authors S. Keles and G. Wahba). Kevin will present this work at the 2008 Spring Meeting of the ENAR.
October’07
- Pei-Fen Kuan won the second prize in the poster competition at First Midwest Symposium on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. Here is Pei-Fen’s award winning poster.
